Snowflake

I stitched up this cute little snowflake last week.  I still have a few beads to add to the middle and the outside points, but that shouldn’t take too long.

This was stitched on 28-count blue evenweave I picked up at Hobby Lobby.  I used one strand of Kreinik blending filament with one strand of DMC floss so it sparkles!  I also have some very cute white and silver backing fabric picked out.

O Christmas Tree (the 2nd)

This is such a cute and easy pattern that I thought I should make another.  Here is the one I finished in March of this year.

I have a few people on my Christmas list that I want to gift ornaments to, so I thought this would make an excellent choice as it stitches up so quick.

I used a different color ground fabric for this one.  It is 28-count Natural evenweave.  This is what I have so far.

I hope to be done with this one this weekend!  And then I might try to stitch one more before Christmas!  As the time nears to actually “finish” these stitched pieces into ornaments, I am getting super nervous.  I want to use  The Twister Stitcher’s  flat ornament directions.  I’m sure I can manage it, but it just scares me that I might screw it up and then I have ruined my stitched piece.

October YOTA

Sadly, no progress has been made on The Legend Of The Dogwood Tree.

This is where I left it last month and this is where it remians today.

I have been stitching, just not on this.  I

have some Christmas things I have been concentrating on and that means this project has fallen by the wayside.

I would say that maybe next month would be better, but who am I kidding – the closer Christmas gets the less I will be working on anything.
